Phonebook options

1 In standby: press Names, select the desired phonebook or settings

and press OK.

- Select an entry in the Normal PhoneBook, press Options. You

can view the selected entry, call, edit, delete, copy and much more.

- In the Picture PhoneBook, select entry, press View, the entry is

displayed. Press Edit. You can delete the picture and take a new

one, edit the name and number or delete the entire entry.

- Under Settings you can eg. set the preferred storage location, set

the speed dial, switch the human voice prompt* for the phone

number on / off, check the memory status and copy, move or delete

entries.

Note on speed dialing: You can store phonebook entries to the digit

buttons 2 ... 0, which are then dialed by a long press of the relevant

digit button. Please note that the function must be switched on in the

Speed Dial menu.

Messages

Writing and sending SMS/MMS

1 In standby: press Menu, select Messages and press OK.

2 Select Write message and press OK.

3 Select Text message or Multimedia message and press OK.

4 Enter the text.

Press the  key to display symbols, use the navigation key to select

a symbol and press OK.

Press the # key to change the input method.

5 Press Options, select Send to, enter the telephone number or select

an entry from the phonebook and press OK.

6 Press Options, select Send and press Select.

Viewing a SMS/MMS

1 In standby: press Menu, select Messages and press OK.

2 Select Inbox and press OK.

3 Select an entry and press Options -> View.

Further options:

Reply by SMS / by MMS

: enter your message and send to the

sender.

Call sender

: to call the sender.

-

Forward

: to forward message to other recipients.

-

Delete

: delete the message.

Add to Calendar

: add a reminder with further information to the

calendar.

Message settings

1 In standby: press Menu, select Messages and press OK.

2 Select Message settings and press OK.

- Text message: Among other things, settings for the phone

number of the SMS center (is taken from the SIM card and should

only be changed after consultation with your provider) as well as

changing / entering the phone number for the voicemail server

(to

access Voicemail -> long press key

- Multimedia message: You will find here among other things

settings for the data account as well as general settings for MMS.

Call center

1 In standby: press Menu, select Call center and press OK.

- Select Call history and press OK. Select the desired list and press

OK to check the calls (press Options for select calling back,

sending a SMS to the caller or view details etc.)

or

select Delete call logs to delete all entries

or

select Call timer to view the times for the various calls.

- Select Call settings and make settings for call waiting, call

forwarding, call barring etc.

- The keys have different functions depending on the situation.

The current key function is shown above the key in the display.

Left softkey in standby mode: opens the menu.

Right softkey in standby mode: opens the phonebook.

6 Call button

7 Numeric/letters keys

- To enter phone numbers

- To enter text (SMS/MMS) or names (phonebook)

-  button: in standby mode: change silent mode/normal mode

(long press) / press several times in quick succession to enter +

or P / W (may be necessary for call-through numbers or remote

accessing an answering machine) / when entering text: enter

symbol / in menus: navigation .

- # button: in standby mode: keypad lock (long press) / when

entering text: change input method / in menus: navigation .

- for charging and data transfer.

- Long press in standby mode: switches the phone off/on.

- In menus: back to standby mode.

Installation

Installing SIM card(s), memory card and battery

To increase the storage space for photos or music (audio files) on your

phone, you can insert a microSD card (up to 32 GB). If the microSD

card is not FAT formatted, you can format it as you insert it.

1. Remove the battery cover.

2. Slide the micro SD card holder to the left to unlock it and open it.

Insert the micro SD card (not supplied) in a form-fitting manner

(contacts downwards), fold down the card holder and slide it to the

right for locking.

3.Slide the SIM card with the contacts downwards under the holder.

Note the bevelled corner!

4.Insert the battery. The golden contacts on the battery must face

towards the bottom right.

5. Replace the battery cover and press it all the way round.

Charge the phone for at least 4 hours before first use.

Activating the phone

1. Hold the red End call button on the telephone for approx. 3 seconds

to turn it on/off. If the SIM card is valid but protected with a PIN

code (Personal Identification Number), Input PIN is displayed.

2. Enter the SIM PIN code and press OK.

Delete with Clear.

First commissioning

During the first start-up you will be asked to select the language

and to enter the time and date.

1. Enter the PIN for your SIM card(s) and press OK (left softkey).

2.

Select the language using

and press OK.

3.Enter the hours and minutes.

4.Press and enter the date (day / month / year) and press OK.

Making a call/taking a call

Making a call

1. In standby mode, input phone number including the area code.

2. Press .

Whilst in a call press Options to access the following options:

- Hold a Call

- End a Single Call

- New call

- Enter the Phonebook

- Call History

- Messages

- Record the call / soundrecorder

- Mute the microphone

3. Press to end the call.

Taking a call

1. Press .

Handsfree

1 Whilst in a call: press H-Free.

2 Deactivating: press H-Held.

Redial

1 In standby: press .

2 Select an entry and press .

Phonebook

Add new contact to the Picture PhoneBook

1 In standby: press Names.

or

press Menu, select Phonebook and press OK.

2 Select Picture PhoneBook and press OK.

3 Select a field (green square with white "+") and press Add.

4 Select “Picture“ to take a photo for the entry and press OK.

5 Take a picture (trigger with ) and press Save.

6 Select Contact and press OK.

7 Enter name and telephone number and press Save.

8 Press Back

.

The new entry appears in the display.

Tip: Always save the telephone numbers in international format with a

+ (press the  key two times in quick succession) in front of the

country code.

Example for UK: Phone number 0123456 -> +44 123456.

Add new contact to the Normal PhoneBook

1 In standby: press Names.

or

press Menu, select Phonebook and press OK.

2 Select Normal PhoneBook and press OK.

3 Select Add new contact and press Options.

4 Select Select and press Select.

5 If necessary, select the location (phone or SIM) and press OK.

6 Enter name and telephone number.

For entries on the SIM card, you can only save the name and phone

number, for entries in the phone other options are available.

7 Press Options, select Save and press Select.

Tip: Always save the telephone numbers in international format with a

+ (press the  key two times in quick succession) in front of the

country code.

Example for UK: Phone number 0123456 -> +44 123456.

Calling from the phonebook

1 In standby: press Names.

2 Select an entry, press .
