SAFETY

• By ignoring the safety instructions the

manufacturer cannot be held responsible for

the damage.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent or similarly qualified persons in order to

avoid a hazard.

• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord

and make sure the cord cannot become

entangled.

• The appliance must be placed on a stable,

level surface.

• The user must not leave the device

unattended while it is connected to the supply.

• This appliance is only to be used for

household purposes and only for the purpose

it is made for.

• This appliance shall not be used by children

aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be

used by children aged from 8 years and above

and persons with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning use of

the appliance in a safe way and understand

the hazards involved. Children shall not play

with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its

cord out of reach of children aged less than 8

years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall

not be made by children unless older than 8

and supervised.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance andaccessoriesoutthebox.Removethe

stickers,protective foilorplasticfrom thedevice.

• Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10

cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for

installation in a cabinet or for outside use.

• Flush the machine with clean water in the following steps:

– Make sure the all buttons are in the off position and that the

steam water knob is closed by turning clockwise.

– Pull out the water tank and fill with cold water up to the MAX

level marked. We recommend using filtered water as it produces

better coffee and reduces limescale, never use fizzy water.

– Refit the tank, make sure that it is correctly located and apply

light pressure if necessary to ensure the valve at the bottom of

the tank connects with the water inlet of the machine. It is

normal for water to remain in the compartment under the tank,

this can be done using a sponge.

– Set filter into the funnel (no coffee powder in filter). Make sure to

align the notch of the filter with the groove inside the porta-filter.

Turn the filter to the left or right to lock it in place.

– Attach the funnel to the coffee machine by holding it slightly to

left (see Fig. 1), then turn anticlockwise until it is fixed tightly

(see Fig 2&3)

– Place a jug. Make sure the steam control knob is on the “/”

position.

– Connect to power source, press down the on/off switch to turn

on the device. The red indication light will be illuminated.

– Press down the coffee pump switch, the pump will pump water.

When there is water flowing out, close the pump by pressing the

same button again.

– Make sure the steam switch is not pressed and wait for a

moment, the appliance begins pre-heating until the green lamp

is illuminated, it shows the pre-heating is finished.

– Press down the coffee pump switch again and water will flow

out.

– After water has flown for about 1 minute, press the pump switch

again to stop.

Important: You can not brew espresso if you have not flushed the

machine at first, the flushing cycle causes the boiler to fill with water. If you

have not used the machine for a few days, you have to flush it with fresh

water before you use it again.

• Note: When the appliance pumps the water for the first time, a sound

may be heard, this is normal, it is the removal of air in the appliance. The

sound will disappear after about 20 seconds.

USE

Preheating

To make a cup of good coffee, it is recommended to preheat the appliance

before making coffee, including the funnel and cup, so that the coffee

flavor will not be influenced by cold parts.

• Fill the water tank, the water level should be between ‘MAX’ and ‘MIN’.

• Place the filter in the funnel and attach the funnel to the coffee maker

(see chapter ‘Before first use’, Fig 1, 2 and 3).

• Place an espresso cup underneath the funnel.

• Connect the appliance to the power source. Make sure the steam knob is

turned to ‘/ ’.

• Press the On/Off switch to turn on the device, the red power indicator

light will illuminate.

• Press the coffee pump button, when water is flowing out, immediately

press it again. The purpose of this step is to pump the water of the tank

into the housing.

• When the coffee indicator light turns green, you should press down the

coffee pump button and hot water will flow out.

• When the water has flown for 20 seconds, press the coffee pump button

again. Preheating is finished.

Making espresso

• Remove the funnel by turning it clockwise.

• Select the desired filter and fit into the filter holder. Use the smaller filter

for making one cup of coffee and the larger filter for 2 cups.

• Add the coffee using the measuring spoon provided one full spoon per

cup, level the surface then lightly press with the tamper of the measuring

spoon, wipe off any coffee around the rim. When buying ground coffee

make sure it is suitable for espresso machines. Never press the coffee

too firmly as the coffee will come out slowly and the cream will be of a

dark colour, however, if it is pressed too lightly ,the coffee will come out

too fast and the cream will be a light colour.

• Attach the filter holder into the appliance, turn it to the right to lock into

position. Pour out the hot water in the cup that you used for preheating.

Ensure the on/off switch is on, the green lamp will be illuminated. Press

the coffee pump button to start brewing.

• When you’ve enough coffee, not too much otherwise it will be too weak

(optimum dosage is 30ml per cup) manually press the coffee pump

button again. If you are not making any more coffee, press the on/off

switch to turn off the appliance.

• Remove the filter holder by turning to the left. There will be water on the

filter when you remove it, this is normal.

• To remove the used coffee from the filter holder, please lift the plastic

pressing block to press the edge of filter, then tip the filter holder upside

down and tap out the grounds.

Note: During operation, it is normal that the ready indicator is likely to

extinguish, it only means that the heater is heating up to keep the

temperature at the standard range..

Important: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended during brewing, it

sometimes requires manual operation.

Frothing milk for cappuccino

• Prepare the espresso as previously described.

• Make sure there is water in the tank.

• Press down the Steam button, wait until the green indicator is

illuminated, this indicates that the boiler has reached the correct

temperature.

• Partly fill a jug with milk - the milk may increase up to three times in

volume so select a suitably sized jug. Cold semi skimmed milk gives the

best results.

• In order to get the best result, it is recommended to release some steam

before putting the nozzle in the milk. Turn the steam control knob to the

left and hold it for 15 seconds, then turn it back to the ‘/ ‘ position.

• Position the jug under the steam nozzle.

• Place the nozzle into the milk about 20mm deep and turn the steam

control knob in an anticlockwise direction, the milk will begin to increase

in volume and appear frothy. When the volume of the milk has doubled,

fully immerse the nozzle and continue heating the milk. Once the desired

temperature is reached(60℃ is optimum), stop the steam by turning the

steam function knob clockwise.

• Turn the control knob to the ‘/ ’ position and press the on/off switch to cut

the power source off.

Note: Never turn the steam control button rapidly, as the steam will

accumulate rapidly in short time which may increase the potential of the

risk of explosion.

Important: Never operate the steam nozzle for longer than 2 minutes at

one time.

Important: Never allow the milk to boil as this will spoil the flavour of the

coffee.

Important: To prepare more than one cup of cappuccino, first make all the

espresso coffees, then at the end prepare the frothed milk for all the

cappuccinos

• Important: Clean the steam outlet with a wet sponge immediately after

steaming stops, but be careful because the part may still be very hot.

Making hot water

• Push the on/off switch to the “1” position and the steam control knob to

the “0” position. Turn the control knob to the heating up position. The red

lamp will be illuminated, after a short while the red light will be off and the

green lamp will be illuminated to show that the device reached the right

temperature.

• Then turn the steam control knob from “0” to “+” position in anti-

clockwise. (Turn the knob with at least 135 degrees) Then turn the

control knob to the coffee/hot water position, and hot water will flow out

from the steam/hot water nozzle.

• Important: In the beginning, the hot water can be sprayed from the

steam pipe. Therefore, keep the steam nozzle close to the inside of the

coffee cup and make sure that this water does not touch the skin as it

may cause burns.

Producing steam to heat liquids

The steam/hot water nozzle (without the frothing device) can be used to

make hot beverages like drinking chocolate, water or tea.

• Remove the detachable tank and fill it with desired water, the water level

should not exceed the “MAX” mark in the tank. Then place the tank into

the appliance properly.

• Press the on/off switch position, the red lamp is illuminated.

• Turn the steam control knob to “ / ” position. Follow the instructions under

‘preheating’. The appliance begins to pre-heat until the green lamp is

illuminated, the device reached the right temperature.

• Dip the steam/hot water nozzle into the liquid to be heated. Turn the

steam control knob in anticlockwise slowly to start making steam.

• Turn the steam control knob to “ / ” position when the required

temperature is reached.

• Press the on/off switch to cut the power source off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Never immerse the cord, plug, or appliance itself in water or other liquids.

• Always unplug the machine and make sure cool down before you clean

it.

• All the non-electrical parts can be washed in warm soapy water. Dry

thoroughly before reusing. These parts are not dishwasher safe. Never

use abrasive detergents.

Steam/hot water nozzle

• Pull out the rubber tube downwards, then wash thoroughly. Check that

the hole in the nozzle is not blocked, if necessary unblock them with a

pin.

Descaling

• The appliance has to be descaled every month, otherwise the coffee

taste will become bad and the scale deposited inside in the machine may

cause permanent and irreparable damage to the machine.

• In case of using solid descaler, make sure the descaler dissolves into

cold water fully before pouring into the water tank. Never use a descaler

based on mineral acids such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid,

sulphamic acid and acetic acid(e.g. vinegar).These descalers may

damage your machine.

• Mix adequate descaling agent with cold water in a measuring jug as per

its instructions. Fill the water tank up to the Max level with the prepared

descaling solution, then put the water tank back into the machine.

• Insert the funnel in the appliance.

• Place a cup under the steam/hot water nozzle.

• Connect to power source, turn the on/off switch to “1” position. Steam

control knob anticlockwise to the “+” position. Control knob to the coffee/

hot water position and water will flow out. Repeat this step until there is

half the of water is left in the water tank. Then turn the control knob to the

warming-up position to stop the appliance, leave the descaling agent in

the appliance for at least 15 minutes.

• Leave the machine to rest for 15 minutes, then press the on/off knob for

coffee and function button until the water tank is empty, then rinse it

thoroughly.

• Restart the unit and repeat previous step until no descaling agent is left.

• Then start brewing coffee with no coffee powder. Fill with tap water to the

Max level. Turn the on/off switch to the “1” position. Steam control knob

anticlockwise to the “+” position. Control knob to the coffee/hot water

position and water will flow out. Keep brewing until no water is left in the

tank.

• Repeat step 6 at least 3 times to ensure that the pipes are clean.

ENVIRONMENT

This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the

end of its durability, but must be offered at a central point for the recycling

of electric and electronic domestic appliances. This symbol on the

VEILIGHEID

• Als u de veiligheidsinstructies negeert, kan de

fabrikant niet verantwoordelijk worden

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK

• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos.Verwijder de stickers,

de beschermfolie of het plastic van het apparaat.

• Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke, stabiele ondergrond. Zorg voor

minimaal 10 cm vrije ruimte rondom het apparaat. Dit apparaat is niet

geschikt voor inbouw of gebruik buitenshuis.

• Spoel het apparaat door met schoon water door de volgende stappen te

volgen:

– Zorg ervoor dat alle knoppen in de uit-stand staan en dat de

stoomwaterknop gesloten is (met de klok mee draaien).

– Verwijder het waterreservoir en vul het tot de MAX-aanduiding

met koud water. Het wordt aanbevolen om gefilterd water te

gebruiken, omdat dit betere koffie oplevert en kalkaanslag

vermindert. Gebruik nooit bruisend water.

– Plaats het reservoir op de juiste plek terug en oefen zo nodig

lichte druk uit om ervoor te zorgen dat het ventiel onderaan het

reservoir aansluit op de watertoevoer van het apparaat. Het is

normaal dat er water in het compartiment onder het reservoir

blijft staan. Dit kunt u verwijderen met een spons.

– Plaats het filter in de trechter (doe geen koffiepoeder in het

filter). Lijn de inkeping van het filter uit met de groef in de

filterdrager. Draai het filter naar links of rechts om het vast te

zetten.

– Bevestig de trechter aan het koffiezetapparaat door het

enigszins naar links te houden (zie afbeelding1). Draai het

vervolgens tegen de klok in tot het goed vastzit (zie afbeelding2

en 3).

– Plaats een kan. Zorg ervoor dat de stoomregelknop in de

stand / staat.

– Sluit het apparaat aan op een voedingsbron en druk op de aan/

uit-schakelaar om het apparaat in te schakelen. Het rode

indicatorlampje gaat branden.

– Druk de koffiepompschakelaar in. Er wordt nu water gepompt.

Wanneer het water naar buiten stroomt, sluit u de pomp door

opnieuw op dezelfde knop te drukken.

– Zorg ervoor dat de stoomschakelaar niet wordt ingedrukt en

wacht even. Het apparaat wordt voorverwarmd. Als het groene

lampje gaat branden, is het voorverwarmen voltooid.

– Druk de koffiepompschakelaar opnieuw in. Het water begint nu

te stromen.

– Nadat het water ongeveer 1minuut heeft gestroomd, drukt u

opnieuw op de pompschakelaar om te stoppen.

Belangrijk: U kunt geen espresso maken als u de machine niet eerst

heeft doorgespoeld. Door het spoelen vult de boiler zich met water. Spoel

als u de machine aan paar dagen niet heeft gebruikt deze met schoon

water voordat u de machine weer gaat gebruiken.

• Let op: Wanneer het apparaat voor de eerste keer het water pompt, is er

mogelijk een geluid hoorbaar. Dit is normaal, het is het verwijderen van

lucht in het apparaat. Het geluid stopt na 20 seconden.

GEBRUIK

Voorverwarmen

Voor een goed kopje koffie wordt het aanbevolen het apparaat voor te

verwarmen voordat u koffie gaat zetten, inclusief de trechter en het kopje.

Zo zorgt u ervoor dat de koffiesmaak niet wordt beïnvloed door koude

onderdelen.

• Vul het waterreservoir. Het waterniveau moet tussen MAX en MIN

liggen.

• Plaats het filter in de trechter en bevestig de trechter aan het

koffiezetapparaat (raadpleeg het hoofdstuk Vóór het eerste gebruik,

afbeeldingen1, 2 en 3).

• Plaats een espressokopje onder de trechter.

• Sluit het apparaat aan op de voedingsbron. Zorg ervoor dat de

stoomknop in de stand / is gedraaid.

• Druk op de aan/uit-schakelaar om het apparaat in te schakelen. Het rode

indicatorlampje gaat branden.

• Druk op de koffiepompknop. Als er water stroomt, drukt u onmiddellijk

opnieuw op de knop. Het doel van deze stap is om het water van het

reservoir naar de behuizing te pompen.

• Wanneer het koffie-indicatorlampje groen gaat branden, drukt u de

koffiepompknop in. Er stroomt nu heet water.

• Wanneer het water 20seconden heeft gestroomd, drukt u opnieuw op de

koffiepompknop. Het voorverwarmen is voltooid.

Espresso maken

• Verwijder de trechter door deze met de klok mee te draaien.

• Selecteer het gewenste filter en plaats het in de filterhouder. Gebruik het

kleinere filter voor 1kopje koffie en het grotere filter voor 2kopjes.

• Voeg de koffie toe met behulp van het meegeleverde maatschepje.

Gebruik een vol schepje per kopje. Egaliseer het oppervlak en druk de

koffie vervolgens licht aan met de tamper van het maatschepje. Veeg

eventuele koffie rond de rand weg. Gebruikt u gemalen koffie?

Controleer dan eerst of deze geschikt is voor espressomachines. Druk

de koffie nooit te stevig aan. De koffie komt er dan langzaam uit en de

crema krijgt een donkere kleur. Als u de koffie te licht aandrukt, komt de

koffie er te snel uit en krijgt de crema een lichte kleur.

• Bevestig de filterhouder in het apparaat en draai de houder naar rechts

om deze te vergrendelen. Giet het hete water uit het kopje dat u hebt

gebruik voor het voorverwarmen. Controleer of de aan/uit-schakelaar is

ingeschakeld. Het groene lampje brandt dan. Druk op de

koffiepompknop om de koffie te zetten.

• Als u genoeg koffie hebt, drukt u handmatig opnieuw op de

koffiepompknop. Zet niet te veel koffie, anders wordt deze te slap

(optimale dosering is 30ml per kopje). Als u geen koffie meer zet, drukt

u opnieuw op de aan/uit-schakelaar om het apparaat uit te schakelen.

• Verwijder de filterhouder door deze naar links te draaien. Er zal water op

het filter staan als u het verwijdert. Dit is normaal.

• Als u de gebruikte koffie uit de filterhouder wilt verwijderen, tilt u het

plastic blokje op om de rand van het filter te drukken. Draai de

filterhouder vervolgens ondersteboven en tik het koffiedik eruit.

Opmerking: Tijdens gebruik is het normaal dat de klaar-indicator uitgaat.

Dit betekent alleen dat het apparaat wordt opgewarmd om de temperatuur

op een optimaal niveau te houden.

Belangrijk: Laat het koffiezetapparaat niet onbeheerd achter tijdens het

koffiezetten, het vergt soms handmatige bediening.

Melk opschuimen voor cappuccino

• Maak de espresso zoals eerder beschreven.

• Zorg ervoor dat er water in het reservoir zit.

• Druk op de stoomknop in. Wacht tot het groene indicatorlampje gaat

branden. Dit geeft aan dat de boiler de juiste temperatuur heeft bereikt.

• Vul een kan gedeeltelijk met melk. De melk kan tot drie keer zo hoog

komen, dus kies een kan die groot genoeg is. Koude halfvolle melk levert

de beste resultaten.

• Voor een optimaal resultaat wordt het aanbevolen om wat stoom te laten

ontsnappen voordat u het pijpje in de melk doet. Draai de

stoomregelknop naar links en houd deze 15seconden vast. Draai de

knop vervolgens terug naar de stand /.

• Zet de kan onder het stoompijpje.

• Laat het pijpje tot ongeveer 20mm diep in de melk zakken en draai de

stoomregelknop tegen de klok in. De melk begint omhoog te komen en

ziet er schuimig uit. Wanneer de melk in volume is verdubbeld, steekt u

het pijpje er helemaal in en gaat u verder met het verwarmen van de

melk. Zodra de gewenste temperatuur is bereikt (60℃ is optimaal), stopt

u de stoom door de stoomfunctieknop tegen de klok in te draaien.

• Draai de regelknop naar de stand / en druk op de aan/uit-schakelaar om

de voeding te onderbreken.

Opmerking: Draai de stoomregelknop nooit te snel. Hierdoor verzamelt er

zich namelijk veel stoom in korte tijd, wat het gevaar op explosies kan

vergroten.

Belangrijk: Gebruik het stoompijpje nooit langer dan 2minuten zonder

onderbreking.

Belangrijk: Laat de melk nooit koken; dit bederft de smaak van de koffie.

Belangrijk: Maak bij het bereiden van meer dan één kop cappuccino eerst

alle espresso's en bereid hierna de opgeschuimde melk voor alle

cappuccino's.

• Belangrijk: Reinig de stoomuitlaat onmiddellijk na het stoppen met

stomen, maar wees voorzichtig, want het onderdeel kan nog steeds erg

heet zijn.

Heet water zetten

• Duw de aan/uit-schakelaar naar de stand 1 en de stoomregelknop naar

de stand 0. Draai de regelknop naar de opwarmstand. Het rode lampje

gaat branden. Na enige tijd gaat het rode lampje uit en gaat het groene

lampje branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat de juiste temperatuur

heeft bereikt.

• Draai de stoomregelknop vervolgens tegen de klok in van de stand 0

naar de stand +. Draai de knop naar ten minste 135graden. Draai de

regelknop vervolgens naar de stand voor koffie/heet water. Er stroomt nu

heet water uit het pijpje voor stoom/heet water.

• Belangrijk: In het begin kan er heet water uit de stoompijp worden

gesproeid. Houd het stoommondstuk daarom dicht bij de binnenkant van

de koffiekop en zorg ervoor dat dit water de huid niet raakt, omdat dit

brandwonden kan veroorzaken.

Stoom produceren om vloeistoffen op te warmen

Het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk (zonder opschuimhulp) kan worden

gebruikt om warme dranken te maken zoals chocolademelk, water of thee.

• Verwijder het reservoir en vul het met het gewenste type water. Het

water mag niet hoger komen dan de MAX-markering van het reservoir.

Plaats het reservoir vervolgens op de juiste wijze terug in het apparaat.

• Druk op de aan/uit-schakelaar. Het rode lampje gaat branden.

• Draai de stoomregelknop naar de stand /. Volg de instructies in het

hoofdstuk 'Voorverwarmen'. Hetapparaat begint nu met

voorverwarmen. Als het groene lampje brandt, heeft het apparaat de

juiste temperatuur bereikt.

• Doe het pijpje voor stoom/heet water in de vloeistof die u wilt verwarmen.

Draai de stoomregelknop tegen de klok in om voorzichtig stoom te

produceren.

• Draai de stoomregelknop naar de stand / wanneer de gewenste

temperatuur is bereikt.

• Druk op de aan/uit-schakelaar om de voeding te onderbreken.

REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD

• Dompel nooit het snoer, de stekker of het apparaat zelf onder in water of

enige andere vloeistof.

• Haal voor het reinigen altijd de stekker van de machine uit het

stopcontact en zorg dat de machine is afgekoeld.

• U kunt alle niet-elektrische onderdelen in een warm sopje afwassen.

Droog ze zorgvuldig voordat u de machine weer gaat gebruiken. Deze

onderdelen zijn niet geschikt voor de vaatwasser. Gebruik nooit

schurende reinigingsmiddelen.

Spuitmond voor stoom/heet water

• Trek de rubberen buis omlaag en spoel deze grondig door. Controleer of

het gaatje in de spuitmond niet is verstopt. Maak het gaatje indien nodig

met een pen open.

Ontkalken

• Ontkalk het apparaat maandelijks, anders krijgt de koffie een nare smaak

en kan kalkaanslag de machine blijvend en onherstelbaar beschadigen.

• Zorg bij gebruik van een vast ontkalkingsmiddel dat dit middel volledig in

koud water is opgelost voordat u het in het waterreservoir giet. Gebruik

nooit een ontkalkingsmiddel op basis van minerale zuren zoals

zwavelzuur, zoutzuur, amidosulfonzuur en azijnzuur (zoals azijn). Deze

ontkalkingsmiddelen kunnen de machine beschadigen.

• Meng volgens de instructies voldoende ontkalkingsmiddel met koud

water in een maatbeker. Vul het waterreservoir tot het maximumniveau

met de bereide ontkalkingsoplossing. Plaats vervolgens het

waterreservoir terug in de machine.

• Plaats de trechter in het apparaat.

• Plaats een kop onder het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk.

• Sluit aan op voedingsbron. Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “1”.

Stoomregelknop linksom naar de "+” stand. De bedieningsknop naar de

stand voor koffie/heet water en er zal water uit lopen. Herhaal deze stap

totdat de helft van het water in het waterreservoir is overgebleven. Draai

vervolgens de bedieningsknop naar de verwarmingsstand om het

apparaat te stoppen en laat het ontkalkingsmiddel gedurende ten minste

15 minuten in het apparaat zitten.

• Laat de machine 15 minuten rusten. Druk vervolgens op de aan/uit-knop

voor koffie en de functieknop totdat het waterreservoir leeg is.

Voorzichtig omspoelen.

• Start het apparaat opnieuw en herhaal de voorgaande stap totdat er

geen ontkalkingsmiddel meer over is.

• Start dan met koffiezetten zonder koffiepoeder. Vul met kraanwater tot

het Max-niveau. Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “1”. Stoomregelknop

linksom naar de "+” stand. De bedieningsknop naar de stand voor koffie/

heet water en er zal water uit lopen. Blijf brouwen tot er geen water meer

in het reservoir zit.

• Herhaal stap 6 minstens 3 keer om ervoor te zorgen dat de leidingen

schoon zijn.

MILIEU

Dit apparaat mag aan het einde van de levensduur niet bij het

normale huisafval worden gedeponeerd, maar moet bij een speciaal

inzamelpunt voor hergebruik van elektrische en elektronische apparaten

worden aangeboden. Het symbool op het apparaat, in de

gebruiksaanwijzing en op de verpakking attendeert u hierop. De in het

apparaat gebruikte materialen kunnen worden gerecycled. Met het

recyclen van gebruikte huishoudelijke apparaten levert u een belangrijke
