The pump shall not be used for pumping:

• Salted water;

• Liquid foods;

• Sewage containing textile material or paper material;

• Aggressive, caustic agents and chemicals;

• Acid, inflammable, explosive or volatile liquids;

• Liquids warmer than 35oC;

• Sandy water or abrasive liquids.

CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION

The pump is an apparatus of simple construction.

Its driving engine is a single-phase, asynchronous motor with ball bearing support and normal

capacitor. The pump case is steel casting; in case of INOX design it is made of corrosion-resistant

steel sheet, other parts from plastic, while the impeller from plastic having good resistance to erosion

wearing effect of the liquid (noryl). The impeller of the designs marked …”B” is made of bronze. The

pump unit is connected to the electric motor’s badge plate of special design, so the impeller is assem-

bled directly on the corrosions-resistant steel shaft of the motor. The shaft sealing of the pump unit is

ensured by an axial shaft seal. The liquid passing through the axial shaft seal improperly may get out

between the pump unit and the motor, indicating the failure. The suction piece has thread of horizontal

connection, while the discharge connection has thread of vertical connection.

START-UP, OPERATION

In each case the pump must be placed horizontally, in optimum vicinity to the place of water

withdrawal. If the distance between the water level and the pump connection piece is more

than 9 m, then the water can be lifted from depth of 1-2 meter greater if the pump is installed in a shaft

established next to the well.

Prior to starting up the pump, make sure of:

• The soundness of the supply cable and the connection plug of the pump

• Do not start up the pump if it has failed. Any repair must only be made in an authorised service

repair shop!

• Use the handle for lifting and transporting the pump. Do not use the supply cable for pulling the plug

out of the plug socket!

Do not perform any change or modification to the apparatus arbitrarily!

PURPOSE, FIELD OF APPLICATION

ATTENTION! This apparatus may only be used in households, for domestic purposes.

The JPV… (water-jet) pump manufactured by ELPUMPS LTD is suitable for supplying clean water or

non aggressive liquids having properties similar to water. It is excellently suitable for ensuring drinking

water and other water demand (irrigation, watering and animal breeding) of households, even from

gaseous wells.

Attention: The hot water may cause injuries!

If there is no liquid flow through the pump (the delivery side is closed or the suction side takes

in air) and the pump is operating for a longer period (>10 minutes), then the water found in it

may get very warm. Disconnect the machine from the mains, and let the pump and the water

cool down.

Do not switch on the machine unless all the faults are eliminated.
