6. This appliance can be used by children aged from
8years and above if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
aged less than 8 years.
7. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
8. Warning: Do not overfill the kettle as this may cause
boiling water to be ejected.
9. The Kettle is intended for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and
should not be used for commercial purposes. The Kettle
should only be used for its intended purpose which is to
only boil water.
10. Do not leave the Kettle unattended when in use.
11. Do not move or lift the Kettle while it is operating or
while it is connected to the mains electrical supply,
12. The use of attachments, not specifically recommended
by the manufacturer, must not be used as they may
cause personal injury or damage to the appliance.
13. Care should be taken when using the Kettle as it
reaches very high temperatures.
14. Do not operate the Kettle if the plug or power cord has
been damaged, is not working properly or has been
dropped.
15. Check the Kettle's power cord regularly for damage. If the
power cord is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid an electrical hazard.
16. Do not allow the power cord to hang over sharp edges
or come into contact with hot surfaces.
17. Make sure that the Kettle is switched OFF and remove
the plug from the mains electrical supply when it is not in
use, before it is cleaned and while it is being repaired.
18. To prevent the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse
the power cord, plug, or any non-removable parts of
this Kettle in water or any other liquid.
19. The Kettle must not be submerged in water as any
contact with the electrical parts will create the risk
of malfunction and electric shock. Do not use the
appliance with damp or wet hands.
20. Do not use the Kettle outdoors.
21. To unplug the appliance, grasp the plug firmly and
remove it from the mains electrical supply. DO NOT
PULL ON THE CORD.
22. Never use the Kettle if it is damaged in any way.
23. All repairs should be done by a qualified electrician.
Improper repairs may place the user at risk.
24. When handing this Kettle over to a third party, ensure that
this instruction manual is supplied with the appliance.

BEFORE FIRST USE
NOTE:
• The Kettle must only be used with the supplied power base.
• Remove all the packaging material.
• Place the power base on a dry level surface.
• The Kettle must be washed and rinsed thoroughly before first use.
USING THE CORDLESS KETTLE
1. Ensure that the Kettle is unplugged.
2. Open the lid by pressing the automatic lid release button.
3. Never fill the Kettle when it is on the power base.
4. Fill the Kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. You may fill the Kettle through the spout
as this will ensure good maintenance of the filter.
5. Ensure that the water level is filled to at least the MIN water level before use and ensure that it
does not exceed the MAX level.
6. When the Kettle has been filled with water, place it firmly on its base.
7. Ensure that the lid is properly closed by pressing it down firmly to close properly.
8. Connect the mains plug to the mains electrical supply making sure that the voltage and
frequency are the same as detailed on the rating plate on the base of the Kettle.
9. To switch the Kettle ON, press the ON/OFF switch down. The orange indicator light will illuminate.
10. When the water has boiled, the Kettle will switch OFF automatically.
11. The Kettle may be switched OFF at any time by lifting the ON/OFF switch upwards to the OFF
position.
DESCALING
“Furring” is a common problem in hard water areas, and it is recommended that the Kettle be
descaled regularly.
1. To descale, fill the Kettle with 1L cold water and add approximately 75ml vinegar.
2. Boil the water and allow it to stand overnight.
3. Re-boil the water the next day.
4. Discard the re-boiled water and refill the Kettle with fresh water.
5. Boil the fresh water. The boiled water must also be discarded.
NOTE: Normal commercial descalers for kettles may also be used. Follow the commercial descaler
instructions carefully.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove the mains plug from the mains electrical supply before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse the Kettle in water or any other liquid.
3. Avoid the use of solvents, polish, abrasives or aerosol cleaners as they may damage the
surface of the Kettle.
4. Clean the exterior by wiping with a slightly dampened soft cloth.
5. The inside of the Kettle may be cleaned using a mild detergent. It must be thoroughly rinsed
before re-use.
6. The removable mesh filter prevents scale from falling into your cup when pouring. This filter
neither treats nor removes the hardness of the water. Never remove the filter when the Kettle is
full of hot water.
7. It is important to clean the filter regularly.
8. Remove the filter and place it under a running tap whilst wet, then dry it and brush it gently
before re-inserting it into the spout.
NOTE: Make sure that the Kettle is thoroughly dried before reconnecting it to the mains electrical supply.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The warranty will not be valid if:
1. The product has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with the
manufacturers operating instructions provided with the product.
2. The product has been used for any purpose other than its intended function.
3. The damage or malfunction of the product is caused by any of the following:
• Incorrect voltage
• Accidents (including liquid or moisture damage)
• Misuse or abuse of the product
• Faulty or improper installation
• Mains supply problems, including power spikes or lightning damage
• Infestation by insects
• Tampering or modification of the product by persons other than authorised service personnel
• Exposure to abnormally corrosive materials
• Insertion of foreign objects into the unit
• Used with accessories not pre-approved by Brabantia

BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSMAATREGELEN

persoonlijk letsel.
4. Voordat u de waterkoker op de stroomvoorziening
aansluit, controleert u of de spanning en de
stroomvoorziening overeenkomen met de specificaties
weergegeven op het typeplaatje van het apparaat.
5. Plaats de waterkoker altijd op een stabiel, vlak, hitte-
bestendig oppervlak. Zorg er ook voor dat het oppervlak
het gewicht van de eenheid kan houden tijdens gebruik.
6. Dit apparaat kan worden gebruikt door kinderen
vanaf 8 jaar mits zij begeleiding of instructies krijgen
met betrekking tot het gebruik van het apparaat
zodat zij het apparaat veilig kunnen gebruiken en de
eventuele risico's hiervan begrijpen. Reinigings- en
gebruikersonderhoud mag niet door kinderen worden
gedaan tenzij ze ouder dan 8 zijn en hierin worden
begeleid. Houd het apparaat en het snoer buiten bereik
van kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar.
7. Dit apparaat kan worden gebruikt door personen met
fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale beperkingen, of mensen
met gebrek aan ervaring en kennis mits zij begeleiding
of instructies krijgen met betrekking tot het gebruik
van het apparaat zodat zij het apparaat veilig kunnen
gebruiken en de eventuele risico's hiervan begrijpen.
Kinderen mogen niet met het apparaat spelen.
8. Waarschuwing: Doe niet teveel water in de waterkoker
omdat er dan kokend water uit de waterkoker kan
komen.
9. De waterkoker is ALLEEN bedoeld voor HUISHOUDELIJK
GEBRUIK en mag niet gebruikt worden voor
commerciële doeleinden. De waterkoker mag alleen
gebruikt worden voor het beoogde doel, dit is alleen het
koken van water.
10. Laat de waterkoker niet onbeheerd tijdens gebruik.
11. Verplaats de waterkoker niet of til deze niet op tijdens
gebruik of wanneer de waterkoker is aangesloten op de
stroomvoorziening,
12. Het gebruik van hulpstukken die niet zijn aanbevolen
door de fabrikant, moeten niet worden gebruikt omdat
dit persoonlijk letsel of schade aan het apparaat kan
veroorzaken.
13. Wees voorzichtig bij het gebruik van de waterkoker
omdat het zeer hoge temperaturen bereikt.
14. Gebruik de waterkoker niet als de stekker of het snoer
beschadigd is, niet goed werkt of is gevallen.
15. Controleer het snoer van de waterkoker regelmatig op
schade. Als het snoer is beschadigd, moet dit worden
vervangen door de fabrikant of een onderhoudsmonteur
om elektrische risico's te voorkomen.
16. Laat het snoer niet over scherpe randen komen of in
contact komen met hete oppervlaktes.
17. Controleer of de waterkoker is uitgeschakeld en
verwijder de stekker uit de stroomvoorziening als de
waterkoker niet in gebruik is, voor het reinigen of als de
waterkoker wordt gerepareerd.
18. Dompel het snoer, de stekker of andere niet-
verwijderbare onderdelen van de waterkoker niet in
water of andere vloeistoffen, om risico op elektrische
schokken te voorkomen.
19. De waterkoker en de elektrische onderdelen mogen niet
worden ondergedompeld in water, dit kan risico's op
defecten en elektrische schokken creëren. Gebruik het
apparaat niet met vochtige of natte handen.
20. Gebruik de waterkoker niet buiten.
21. Houd de stekker stevig vast en verwijder het uit de
stroomvoorziening als u het apparaat los wilt koppelen.
TREK NIET AAN HET SNOER.
22. Gebruik de waterkoker nooit als deze beschadigd is.
23. Alle reparaties moeten worden uitgevoerd door een
gekwalificeerd elektricien. Onjuiste reparaties kunnen
de gebruiker in gevaar brengen.
24. Als u de waterkoker overdraagt aan een derde, zorg er
dan voor dat de handleiding is meegeleverd met het
apparaat.

• De waterkoker kan alleen worden gebruikt met de meegeleverde stroombasis.
• Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal.

• De waterkoker moet goed worden gewassen en afgespoeld voor het eerste gebruik.
